Liverpool player ratings v Leicester as more points were dropped in the Premier League

How we rated at Anfield.

Liverpool dropped another two points at Anfield by throwing away a two goal lead to draw with Leicester City 2-2 in the Premier League.

Here’s how we rated.

22. Simon Mignolet – 5

Hardly asserted himself when it was needed and a new goalkeeper is surely a priority this January Brendan?

4. Kolo Toure – 6

Filled in for the suspended Martin Skrtel and was not as assured as the Slovakian at the back.

23. Emre Can – 6

Was given something of a torrid time by Jeffrey Schlupp, but looked good on the ball.

17. Mamadou Sakho – 8

Is improving with every game he plays currently and stopped a Jamie Vardy goal with an excellent challenge.

14. Jordan Henderson – 6

Didn’t get forward too often from his position on the right flank and left Can a little exposed at times.

8. Steven Gerrard – 7

Was dictating play from central midfield and added a brace of penalties to that to round off a good day.

21. Lucas Leiva – 5

Was supposed to be the defensive rock to allow others to go forward, but didn’t provide the cover the back line needed.

18. Alberto Moreno – 7

Got forward well and almost set up Adam Lallana for a goal as well as nearly bagging one himself.

20. Adam Lallana – 7

Nearly scored again to add to his brace against Swansea City and looked assured in attacking midfield.

31. Raheem Sterling – 6

Won the first penalty as his pace continuously troubled Leicester, but became more anonymous as things wore on.

10. Philippe Coutinho – 6

Like Sterling the Brazilian started strongly but faded out as things progressed.

Substitutions:

50. Lazar Markovic – 5

Should have scored the winner at the end but put his header wide.

29. Fabio Borini – 5

Another who missed a golden opportunity when he blazed the ball over the bar.

9. Rickie Lambert – 5

Didn’t get much time to impress and duly failed to do so.
