Paco Alcacer targeted by Liverpool, desperately in need of striker enforcements…

According to Spanish daily MARCA, Liverpool, along with Serie A giants AC Milan have asked Valencia about the availability of Paco Alcacer…

The 21-year-old is enjoying somewhat of a breakthrough season, and he’s notched five La Liga goals in 12 starts so far – which earned him a debut for the Spanish national side.

Alcacer can play as a centre-forward, or in more withdrawn attacking midfield roles, and his tactical versatility will likely be something that pleases manager Brendan Rodgers.

He’s relatively quick, has good feet, and has stalled negotiations on an extension to his contract with the Mestalla outfit. His deal with Valencia runs out in 2016, meaning that his potential transfer would likely be slightly reduced – although it’s unsure whether he’d provide the prolific natural striker option we probably need right now.
