The maestro looks set for MLS.
After announcing he would be leaving Liverpool at the end of the season Steven Gerrard is said to be close to agreeing a deal with LA Galaxy.
The MLS franchises have been the most strongly linked with our captain ever since it was decided he would be departing Anfield and according to the Mirror they have tabled a large offer to tempt him.
Reports from the USA says that £3.9m will be paid to Gerrard over 18 months in order for the 34-year-old to head to America in the summer.
It does seem likely that the midfield maestro will make the move across the Atlantic after revealing in an interview that he was in discussions with American sides.
Whilst it is going to be difficult to see Gerrard leave Merseyside, the best possible outcome will be if he leaves us for MLS.
There is no chance that he will come up against us in a competitive match and there is also the possibility he may do a Frank Lampard and return on-loan – although not to another Premier League club.
However, replacing Gerrard is going to be one the hardest things we have to do in a long time and whether it is even possible remains to be seen.
