Telegraph harshly rank Brendan Rodgers behind Roberto Martinez and Louis Van Gaal in best Premier League managers list

Posted by

16) Brendan Rodgers (Liverpool)

Has struggled to re-create the form that saw us flying up the table last season, but has led a steady revival in recent months. When Daniel Sturridge returns we could see the Red men back to somewhere near its best.

15) Gus Poyet (Sunderland)

His team have become known as the Premier League’s draw specialists. Like Villa, they lack goals, but a draw with Chelsea and yet another win over local rivals Newcastle prove what they are capable of.

14) Roberto Martinez (Everton)

It’s been a difficult season for Martinez, despite enjoying plenty of success in Europe. Everton have struggled to cope with playing both domestically and on the continent.

13) Louis van Gaal (Manchester United)

The Dutchman has led United back into the Premier League’s top four, but there have certainly been a few bumps along the way – most notably the loss to MK Dons in the League Cup and the draw with Cambridge in the FA Cup.
