GK) Simon Mignolet

Anther clean-sheet for Mignolet versus Everton, his fifth in seven matches.

DRC) Emre Can

About as classy as they come, it seems. Can was one of our best players during the derby, and should stay at the back as a result. Although there’s a chance he’ll be moved into midfield to cover for Lucas in coming weeks, too.

DLC) Mamadou Sakho

Another integral part of our recently impressive back-three.

DC) Martin Skrtel

The 30-year-old Slovakian is another guaranteed starter in defence, and plays the pivotal, central role at the back. He can expect a tough evening against in-form Harry Kane of course…

MR) Jordon Ibe

The wonderkid’s performance against Everton has been rightly lauded, and Rodgers has shown he’ll keep faith with youngsters if they play well.

ML) Alberto Moreno

The only natural option for the left wing-back option, really.

MC) Steven Gerrard

With Lucas injured, Gerrard is the most obvious option to replace him in the anchorman role – although he’ll need to be as disciplined and as defensively effective as the consistent Brazilian has been…

MC) Jordan Henderson

Henderson’s energy and hunger will be key to winning the midfield battle with our top rivals, who are on a high after winning their own derby at the weekend versus Arsenal.

AMRC) Lazar Markovic

Markovic has been most used at right wing-back, but if Sterling and Coutinho are both unavailable, the £20m Serb could possibly take a more natural spot in the front-three.

AMLC) Adam Lallana

Lallana sat out the Everton game, and should be ready to take a spot in attacking midfield should one, or both of our most exciting young attackers prove unavailable.

FC) Daniel Sturridge

Sturridge has come off the bench in three consecutive matches now, and surely he’s ready to start – especially if we’re without Coutinho and Sterling.
