Liverpool fan Michael Melia was absolutely elated when Mamadou Sakho handed him his shirt after our victory over Crystal Palace in the FA Cup fifth round – and the joy was there in his face for all to see.

The nine year-old is the envy of his schoolmates after lucking out at Selhurst Park, and his mother Lisa told the Liverpool Echo that Michael refuses to let her clean it.
“He’s delighted,” explained Lisa Melia, 36.
“He won’t let me wash it. I asked him if I can put it in the washing machine and he said, “No you can’t wash it because it has mud stains on it!”
“He picked him out at the final whistle and Michael is so happy.
“He was so happy they won and he’s come home with no voice left! He’s downstairs right now watching the YouTube clip. He just can’t stop watching it.
“He was watching it yesterday all day and all his aunties have been crying because of his face in the video. He’s just so happy.”
