The duo will both feature alongside Reds captain Gerrard in a match that is also being regarded as the 34-year-old’s second testimonial, a final chance to celebrate his career ahead of his summer move to LA Galaxy.

Over the last decade, Gerrard has linked up brilliantly with a whole host of teammates, but none more notable that Suarez and Torres. However, where do they rank in our all-time list of Liverpool front-men?

Find out in the pages below…

10) John Toshack

The former Welsh international scored 96 goals in 246 games for the Reds between 1970 and 1978. He won nine major honours during his time with us, including three first division titles and the European Cup.

9) John Aldridge

Aldridge only spent two years at Liverpool, but bagged 50 goals in his 83 league appearances. The former Republic of Ireland star, who left us for Spain in 1989, won both the first division title and the FA Cup.

8) Kevin Keegan

The two-time World Player of the Year joined Liverpool in 1971, and while he arguably enjoyed his peak years during his time with Hamburg in Germany, he still scored an enviable 68 goals in 230 games for the Reds.

7) Roger Hunt

Hunt is arguably best remembered for winning the 1966 World Cup with England, but he made an equally meaningful contribution on Merseyside. He struck 245 goals in 404 league games, winning seven trophies.

6) Michael Owen

He’s not the most popular man in Liverpool these days, but the former Reds academy star was near unstoppable during his youth. He scored 118 goals in just 216 league games, and won the treble in 2001.

5) Fernando Torres

It’s all gone wrong for the Spaniard since he left Liverpool with just 21 league goals in 128 games for Chelsea, AC Milan, and Atletico Madrid. But between 2007-2011 he was unstoppable, scoring 65 goals in 102 games.

4) Luis Suarez

Liverpool made the Uruguayan the third most expensive player of all-time last summer when they sold him to Barcelona for £75m. He scored 82 goals during his four years with us, despite playing just 133 games.

3) Robbie Fowler

Fowler scored 128 goals during two-spells with the club, becoming a firm fan favourite among the Anfield faithful. The former England international will also be welcomed back by the Reds later this month.

2) Ian Rush

Rush scored 229 league goals, again during two spells with the club. He won 18 major honours during his time with us, including two European Cups and five first division titles. He’s one of the best players of all time!

1) Kenny Dalglish

Despite the brilliance of Rush, the winner is the legend himself – Kenny Dalglish. The Scotsman scored 118 goals in 355 league games for Liverpool, helping us lift 22 trophies as a player, and a further five as a manager.
