Liverpool TOP of the pile in weird alternative Premier League table!

talkSPORT cites reports in Italy that have said Brendan Rodgers was keen on acquiring the 21-year-old to pair him with Philippe Coutinho.

The report says that despite Anderson’s contract extension only keeping him at Lazio one more year, from 2018 to 2019, it will increase his pay packet by a sizeable amount.

You can expect that Liverpool will be linked with a number of midfielders given the ever-more imminent departure of Steven Gerrard in the summer.

Miralem Pjanic, Fabian Delph, Hakan Calhanoglu, Radja Nainggolan are just some of the names littered throughout the usual transfer guff that the club are meant to be looking at.

There’s no doubting his ability, nine goals and six assists so far this season, but perhaps Liverpool could do with someone more robust and powerful in the middle with more experience than the young, fleet-footed Brazilian.
