Remember me? Marouane Fellaini and Joe Allen clash in an international fixture last year…

The duo clashed during an international fixture between Wales and Fellaini’s Belgium earlier this season, and Coleman is anxious to avoid a potential repeat just days before his side’s crucial Euro 2016 qualifier against Israel.

United come face-to-face with the Reds at Anfield this afternoon, with Allen vs Fellaini likely to be one of the game’s decisive match-ups.

Coleman, who was quoted by the Daily Star, said: “Joe’s not the biggest player – but he has a huge heart. I have seen him taking some big whacks in the past. He took a bang in Belgium from Fellaini – that was a nasty one.

“Fellaini knew what he was doing. But he has still got to come to Cardiff, hasn’t he?”
