Clearly he’s just so good, that his country couldn’t bare to let him walk away…

Some people just can’t take no for an answer! And that, it seems, is the case for the Ivory Coast football selectors, who have named Liverpool’s Kolo Toure in their squad, despite him having already retired.

The 34-year-old announced that he was calling it a day with the international team, following their African Cup of Nations victory earlier this year, allowing him to go out on a high!

However, he’s now been named in the squad for the upcoming games against Angola and Equatorial Guinea. In fact, the two friendlies will, according to the Daily Mirror, feature the entire 23-man squad from the Cup of Nations.

According to the report, the games – which will both be played on home soil – will ‘give supporters the chance to see the AFCON trophy and celebrate with their heroes.’
