Liverpool transfer news

Deals for Jack Dunn, Jordan Lussey, and Kevin Stewart were announced yesterday, before Jordan Williams became the latest players to make his move – as we confirmed earlier today.

They’ve joined the likes of Jerome Sinclair, Sheyi Ojo, and the now returned Jordon Ibe in making the move this season, and no doubt Brendan Rodgers is hoping that a few more gems will emerge from the process.

The Reds are certainly blessed with a whole host of exciting young players. In the list below we’ve put together a Liverpool dream team, made up only of current Reds players who have impressed us this season.

All of them are aged 21 or under…

GK) Danny Ward (21)

The Welshman has been included on the bench on multiple occasions so far this season, providing back-up for Simon Mignolet in the absence of the injured Brad Jones. Currently on loan at Morecambe.

CB) Andre Wisdom (21)

The powerful defender has been enjoying an excellent season on loan at Premier League side West Bromwich Albion, for whom he’s made 24 appearances. This follows on from impressing with Derby County last term.

CB) Emre Can (21)

Can has been in superb form so far this season, and has firmly established himself as a member of our defensive three alongside Martin Skrtel and Mamadou Sakho. The German has also become a big fan favourite.

CB) Lloyd Jones (19)

The youngster has been on loan at both Cheltenham Town and Accrington Stanley so far this season, making nine appearances in total for the League Two duo. An England youth team international to boot.

CM) Jordan Rossiter (18)

Another England youth team international, the teenager made his debut for Liverpool’s first-team against Middlesbrough in the Capital One Cup earlier this season, scoring the opening goal in the Reds’ victory.

CM) Jordan Williams (19)

Like Rossiter, Williams made his debut against Borough earlier this season, and scored impressively during the penalty shoot-out. A Welsh youth team international whose versatility also allows him to play at the back.

RM) Jordon Ibe (19)

The breakthrough player for Liverpool so far this season. The teenager returned from his loan spell at Derby County to take the first-team by storm earlier this year, winning a number of ‘Man of the Match’ awards.

LM) Lazar Markovic (21)

One of Liverpool’s big-money summer signings. The Serbian arrived from Benfica last term and has had a mixed start to life at Anfield. He’s found himself in and out of the team, but has shown a decent amount of promise.

RAM) Raheem Sterling (20)

Already a veteran of the Liverpool first-team, having made over 100 appearances since his debut in 2012. The Reds’ joint top-scorer so far this season, with ten in all competitions, and the scourge of many a senior defender.

LAM) Jerome Sinclair (18)

The teenager arrived in the Liverpool first-team back in 2012, but is still awaiting his Premier League debut. The forward has still been impressing with the youth team, and earned himself a move to Wigan earlier this month.

ST) Divock Origi (19)

Another of Liverpool’s summer buys, the Belgian is already a regular in his international squad, as well as the Lille first-team, who he rejoined following his switch last year. He’s scored eight goals for club and country this season.

Substitutes: Javier Manquillo (20), Harry Wilson (18), Jordan Lussey (20), Sheyi Ojo (17), Jack Dunn (20)
