Sinclair received much media attention following a sensational match-winning performance against Chelsea in the U-21s that warranted praise from ex-Red Jamie Carragher in the Daily Mail.

And he now joins Sheyi Ojo at the DW Stadium in a move in which he will be hoping to not only turn Wigan’s Championship season around but boost his chances of a Liverpool squad promotion as we head into next season.

The 18-year-old has seemingly outgrown U-21s and reserve team competition – with 22 goals netted in a stunning season with the Academy.

Whether he develops into the next Raheem Sterling is still to be seen, but a move to a club that demands performances can only do wonders for his fledgling career.

The teenager has seemed destined for greatness for some time, even making an incredible appearance at the age of just 16 years and six days to become Liverpool’s youngster ever first team performer in 2012.

Though he has yet to make any further appearances in the senior starting XI, this move to the Championship could be the making of his Anfield career.
