Philippe Coutinho was the difference maker once again for Liverpool this evening, scoring a brilliant goal 20 minutes from time to ensure the Reds victory in our FA Cup quarter-final replay against Blackburn Rovers.

The Brazilian, 22, scored his sixth goal of the season in all competitions – much to the delight of the Reds faithful – after a brilliant interchange in passing with captain Jordan Henderson.

Coutinho has popped up with a number of important goals so far this season, most notably the strikes against Manchester City and Southampton earlier this year, but also another FA Cup goal against Bolton Wanderers.

His performances so far this season have already earned him a recall to the Brazilian national team squad, for whom he has now made six appearances. After missing last summer’s World Cup he’ll be eager to continue impressing for both club and country, with just a handful of games left this season.

Gary Lineker was certainly impressed…
