The teenager joined the Reds last summer but was loaned back to his former employers as part of the agreement. He’s subsequently scored eight goals in all competitions, including a hat-trick against Rennes last month.
It’s thought that he’ll be welcomed into the first-team fold by Brendan Rodgers next season, as we seek realistic alternatives to the injury-plagued Daniel Sturridge, who has missed much of the current campaign with a succession of problems.
