As the Daily Mirror confirm, the Reds have been scouting the 20-year-old this season, along with Manchester United. However, neither side have yet been tempted into firming up their interest with a substantial bid.

Now, with his imminent departure all but confirmed, we will have to decide whether we want to enter the bidding war. According to the Mirror, Bursaspor are after around £8.6m for the player, who is also believed to be wanted by Galatasaray and Fenerbahce.

The Reds could certainly do with some reinforcements on the right-hand side of defence, with Glen Johnson and Jon Flanagan both out of contract at the end of season and yet to commit to new deals.

While Flanagan is expect to stay (via the Daily Mirror), he’ll still need time to recover from an injury that has kept him out for the entirety of our current campaign.
