The tweet below was posted this morning by the ‘#RodgersOut’ page, which is currently followed by over 5,000 people. The page’s description reads: ‘3 seasons. £212m. No trophies’.

In one of their most recent tweets, the group describes themselves as lifelong Liverpool fans who have had enough of Brendan Rodgers. They claim that they will not be silenced or ignored until he is gone.

While every supporter is obviously entitled to their own opinion, you can’t help but feel that this is not the Liverpool way. We need to get behind and support our manager, as well as the players, as we always have done in the past.

It’s worth remembering as well that Rodgers was the man who guided us to second place in the Premier League last season, as well as the semi-finals of the FA Cup and the Capital One Cup final this year.

He’s also man that oversaw a brilliant start to 2015, with our unbeaten league run only ended in late March by Manchester United. While defeats to Arsenal, Aston Villa and Hull have followed, it’s hard to comprehend a handful of bad results making Rodgers a bad manager overnight.

Nonetheless, a big result at Anfield today is sorely needed to help dampen any talk of the boss being sacked.
