The Reds could be welcoming back both Mario Balotelli and Mamadou Sakho before the end of the season, after the Italian dropped a major hint over the pair’s current fitness levels on social media.

Balotelli posted the picture of himself alongside Sakho on Instagram on Friday, saying “the brothers will be back very soon”.
The 24-year-old striker limped out of our game against Hull City on Tuesday with a foot injury and was not included in the match-day squad for the match with Queens Park Rangers on Saturday.
Sakho has been out since picking up a knock in the FA Cup match with Blackburn Rovers at the start of April and has been sorely missed, with the Reds winning just twice in his absence.
Both players will no doubt be anxious to play a role in our three remaining games, starting with a trip to Chelsea next Sunday.
