The striker – who has been in scintillating form in recent weeks, scoring 10 goals in his last eight Premier League games – has been linked with a £30m move in the summer, and according to the Daily Mirror, we are one of an ever-expanding list interested in the 24-year-old.

With Champions League football unlikely next season, it may be difficult to bring in some of the marquee names that we are hoping for in the summer, and that task is made even more challenging if we hope to sign a striker, given the likely fee involved.

However, the Belgian forward is currently plying his trade with a side that have spent much of the campaign battling to beat the drop. And perhaps aware of the interest coming the club’s way, manager Tim Sherwood has revealed that the Midlands side will accept others for the forward provided they met their valuation.

But would Benteke be happy to leave? The Mirror also report that Bacuna has suggested that he has discussed the future with his teammate, and conceded that the Villains will do well to keep him.

“We talk about his future a little bit, but we don’t know what’s going to happen.

“It’s going to be hard to hang onto him,” he said.
