According to the Daily Mail, the 20-year-old rejected a new deal in October, worth £100,000 a week, and decided to avoid further progress towards a resolution until the campaign was over.

Despite there being two games to go, the fact that our Champions League dream is now looking dead in the water, barring a ridiculous couple of score-lines in the final two games of the season, has led to Sterling giving his biggest hint that – with two years left to run on his current deal – he is looking force through a summer move, by putting his house on the market, according to the Daily Mirror.

Perhaps worryingly, the Mirror also suggest that the winger is looking at properties in London, with Arsenal and Chelsea reportedly interested in making a summer bid.

This latest piece of news will do fan feeling towards the prodigal winger no good whatsoever, unfortunately. While he’s a Liverpool player though we’re staying firmly behind him, and we hope that this summer sees him renew his contract rather than move away – especially to a Premier League rival.
