(Image) North Korean newspaper posts bizarre tribute to Steven Gerrard

Steven Gerrard has made an impact on a lot of people’s lives over the years. However, the people of North Korea probably don’t feel they have much of a relationship with the departing Liverpool captain.

Or, so you would think… North Korean newspaper, the Rodong Sinmun, led with this spread (pictured) today, claiming that Gerrard learned all his tricks from their ‘supreme leader’, Kim Jong-un. Yes, seriously.

Something tells us that this one probably isn’t true, but we’ll let you make up your own mind! You might have to learn Korean before you can know for sure though.

Gerrard played his final game at Anfield as a Liverpool player yesterday, with his side going down 3-1 against Crystal Palace. After the match, the iconic midfielder made a touching speech to the tearful Merseyside faithful before travelling to each side of the ground to applaud and thank the supporters.
