11) Dani Pacheco (Real Betis)  Games: 24  Goals: 0

This former Liverpool academy graduate never got much of a chance at Anfield. The goals have not come any more freely in the Spanish second division but he has helped guide Betis to an immediate promotion back to La Liga.

10) Maxi Rodriguez (Newell’s Old Boys)  Games: 19  Goals: 11

The Argentine was something of a favourite at Anfield and many people will be pleased to see him doing well. His club side might have struggled, finishing in mid-table, but he ended the campaign as their top scorer.

9) Raul Meireles (Fenerbahce)  Games: 24  Goals: 2

Fenerbahce currently sit three points behind leaders Galatasaray in the league table, while the two teams will also contents a cup final before the season comes to a close. The midfield hard-man has played an important role.
