It’s been a mixed morning for us Liverpool fans, with a host of our rumoured transfer targets speaking out about their potential summer transfers. Alexandre Lacazette, Christian Benteke and Andriy Yarmolenko have all been discussing their futures this week and we’ve collated their quotes for you here.

We’ll start with the bad news, which is that – unsurprisingly – Lacazette has seemingly ruled out any faint possibility of a move to Anfield. The 23-year-old netted an impressive 31 goals in all competitions this season to book his Lyon side a place in the Champions League, and as a result, would only move for a European superpower.

In quotes taken by the Daily Mirror, the Frenchman responded to speculation about a possible switch by saying: “I have not made my decision. I will go on holiday, leave my agent to discuss things, for him to look after all that.

“Everything depends on the destination. It would have to be for a Champions League club. Barcelona and Real Madrid – you don’t reject them.”

More encouragingly, the Mirror believe that Christian Benteke is intent on leaving Aston Villa during the summer transfer window in order to secure himself the chance to play European football – something we can deliver.

The 24-year-old, who scored 15 goals this season to guide Villa to Premier League survival and the FA Cup final, said: “It is important to play. If you want to be in your [country’s] first 11, you have to play in your club.”

Long-time target Andriy Yarmolenko has also confirmed that wants to move on this summer, having grown frustrated at Dynamo Kiev. The 25-year-old Ukrainian international has been with Kiev since 2007 and was a key part of the side that won the league this season.

He told reporters: “The president knows that I want to leave, I have repeatedly spoken about this. I want to grow. It is hard, it is unclear where I will play next. There have been suggestions from good teams.

“I feel the strength and confidence to be able to play in one of the top championships. If I want to play enough in Europe, now is the time to move.”

Which of these players would you want to see at Liverpool next season?
