Milner, 29, has enjoyed a profitable five year spell with Manchester City that has included winning two Premier League titles, the FA Cup, the League Cup and the Community Shield. His experience and versatility in midfield should prove decisive following Steven Gerrard’s departure for LA Galaxy.
The England international, who has won 53 caps, has also played for Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Leeds United in a lengthy Premier League career that began when he was still a teenager. More recently, he has become a key member of Manuel Pellegrini’s side, scoring eight goals last term.
We welcome James to Anfield and wish him every success on Merseyside!
