Liverpool fans take to Twitter with multiple theories on Pascoe and Marsh departures

Colin Pascoe and Mike Marsh were both told this week that they would be leaving Liverpool – following discussions between Brendan Rodgers, Tom Werner and Mike Gordon at our end-of-season review.

As the Liverpool Echo reports, first-team coach Marsh has been told that his contract – which expires this month – will not be renewed, while assistant manager Pascoe departs despite having a year remaining on his deal.

The latter has been with Rodgers throughout his entire coaching career, having followed him to Anfield from Swansea City. Marsh was promoted to a first-team role back in 2012 and the pair were almost considered part of the furniture on Merseyside.

According to the Echo, FSG have already set about finding suitable replacements, with experience thought to be a requirement. Many supporters have expressed their sadness at the pair’s departures, while others have already taken to speculating about their possible replacements – with former greats Jamie Carragher and Sami Hyypia among those mentioned.
