Subject to a medical, Danny Ings has signed for Liverpool – following James Milner as an early summer Anfield arrival.

Although his signing is by no means a marquee one, it could prove an astute piece of business, considering Ings’s age and potential – and the fact he’ll only cost a compensation fee as his contract is up this summer.
