As we all know it was a disappointing season for Liverpool as we finished in 6th position with just 62 points in 38 games. This 6th position leaves us on the outside looking in for both the UEFA Champions League competition. The failure to qualify for these European competitions means the team can focus fully on the domestic league competition, which could play into our favour next season.
Online sportsbook Bet365 has the odds of Liverpool winning the Barclays Premier League next season set at 20/1. Those odds put them as distant 5th favourites behind Chelsea 6/4, Man City 11/4, Arsenal 9/2 and Manchester United 5/1. These four favourites are quickly becoming the new ‘Big Four’ in the Premier League and Liverpool is going to need a big season next year to break into that group and earn qualification to Champions League.
Bet360 gives us a better chance at winning the FA Cup next year with odds of 10/1, compared to Chelsea 6/1, Manchester City 7/1, Arsenal 8/1 and Manchester United 8/1. This makes perfect sense, considering that a single loss can leave you out of the competition in The FA Cup.
Capital One League Cup
The other trophy we have the ability to win next year is the Capital One Cup and once again Bet365 has us as 10/1 favourites to win the trophy behind Chelsea 5/1, Manchester City 6/1, Arsenal 7/1 and Man U 8/1.

One thing is for sure. Liverpool is going to have to play much better than we did this year if we hope to win any Major Trophies in 2016.
