It appears that Steven Gerrard and Martin Skrtel both met their partners on the same day!
Our Slovakian centre-half posted a picture alongside his other half holding an enormous bunch of red flowers today, while Gerrard uploaded a snap of him with the wife of his three children – Alex Gerrard.

Skrtel has yet to sign a contract extension at Anfield after being offended by our initial offer (via Sky Sports), while Gerrard has played his final game for the club – and will next turn out for LA Galaxy in MLS as the 35-year-old winds down his legendary career.
Gerrard has of course been arguably our greatest ever servant, and the tributes to him have been long and deserved. Skrtel’s stint has not been as impressive obviously, but his loyalty and improved performances in recent seasons should be rewarded. With Gerrard leaving, we need experienced heads like the Slovakian centre-half to stay at the club, to help guide the number of talented youngsters we currently have in the squad.
