As we reported this morning, Manchester City have made an improved offer for Raheem Sterling. The offer, which has been confirmed by Sky Sports, is believed to be worth £35m with £5m in add ons.

The news has immediately drawn quite a lot of attention on social media, with many fans having their say on the latest offer. It’s an amount that is still well below our rumoured valuation of £50m (via the Daily Mail), although it’s more likely to test our resolve than City’s first, £30m offer.
Sterling has refused to sign a new contract at Liverpool and his agent Aidy Ward has made it clear the England international has no intention of staying. But with the player still having two years remaining on his contract, it’s going to be hard for him to force his way out of Anfield without our say so.
Should we let him go? Here’s what our fellow Liverpool fans have been saying…
If @sterling31 goes to man city he will end up killing his career like so many young English lads have done

I can’t name many home-grown players rated as highly as Raheem Sterling in terms of potential. If #LFC want 50, surely they could get it?
