Firmino, 23, completed his move to Anfield on Wednesday, and will be expected to make an immediate impact after the Reds parted with almost £30m to make the move happen (via BBC Sport).

Willian endured a similar experience when he move to Stamford Bridge in 2013. He made a slow start to life in London but eventually featured 42 times in his debut campaign. He then played a further 49 times last year, helping his side win both the Premier League and the Capital One Cup.

And encouragingly for us, the 26-year-old, who is quoted by the Evening Stadard, explained to reporters at the Copa America that Firmino has all the talent needed to make the grade on Merseyside.

He said: “He’s a great player. He knows how to score. He’s strong. Obviously, British football is played differently. It’s very quick and aggressive and it is tough to adapt there but he has everything in order to make that change.

“As far as I’m concerned – and other players like Philippe Coutinho, who will also play with him – we will try to help him with his transition to Liverpool.”
