According to reports in the Daily Mirror, City are still pondering whether or not to make a third bid for the 20-year-old, after seeing their first two offers swiftly rejected. With City yet to make a move, the Reds will tell Sterling that he must continue business as normal and set off on tour with his teammates.

The situation surrounding Sterling still remains incredibly unclear. As the Mirror reports, the England international has – on several occasions – reiterated his desire to leave the club. He’s ruled out any possibility of signing a new contract while his agent, Aidy Ward, has attacked us with several foul-mouthed rants.

Sterling was booed by Liverpool fans during two end of season events and during our final game of last season, against Stoke City, when he was an unused substitute.

It appears extremely unlikely that he’s going to be able to come back from this, especially with Roberto Firmino having already been signed as a potential replacement. However, it looks as if he’ll still be a Liverpool player at the start of next month and the Mirror expects him to return to training as planned.

The Reds have – according to the source – made it clear that he won’t be sold for less than his £50m valuation and until that is met our management team expect him to be an active member of our squad.

We wouldn’t like to be in Raheem’s shoes right now, that’s for sure. What a silly kid…
