The vast majority of the squad have been given the backing of the supporters, with only five players coming out of the poll with more fans wanting to see them go rather than stay. In the list below we count down the ten players who received the most support and rank them in order of their percentage…

10) Mamadou Sakho – 91.3% want to keep

The Frenchman has struggled with injury problems over the last couple of years and his chances in the first-team have subsequently been restricted. Clearly the Liverpool fans know that we’re yet to see the best of him and are ready to keep the faith.

9) Martin Skrtel – 91.9% want to keep

He might only have a year left to run on his contract but the vast majority of Liverpool fans are only too aware of how important the Slovakian is to our cause. We’d be crazy to allow him to leave this summer and the result here reflects that.

8) Jon Flanagan – 92.1% want to keep

A surprise inclusion, considering his recent injury problems, but a charming indication of the loyalty of the vast majority of our supporters. We always like to see the local lads coming through the ranks and the young full-back could still be the next to do so.

7) Alberto Moreno – 92.2% want to keep

It was a very mixed first season at Anfield for our Spanish defender, whose year was overshadowed by a couple of rather unfortunate high-profile errors. However, he looks more than capable of pushing on in the future and the fans want to see more of him.

6) Adam Lallana – 95.1% want to keep

The impact of the England international was limited during his first season at the club, mostly due to a number of frustrating fitness issues that plagued his campaign. Thankfully, the vast majority of Liverpool fans are confident that he’ll come good soon enough.

5) Daniel Sturridge – 95.9% want to keep

Sturridge started just seven Premier League games last season and many other players might have been written off after this many problems. But such was the impact of the striker during his first 50 games for the club, the fans are desperate to see him rediscover his best form.

4) Jordan Henderson – 97.3% want to keep

No one will be surprised to see the captain-in-waiting sitting high in this list. The last two years have been phenomenal for our young dynamo and if he can continue that upward trend over the next twelve months then surely he will be destined for great things.

3) Emre Can – 97.9% want to keep

The German enjoyed an excellent first year on Merseyside after being transformed from a bit-part midfielder to a cultured defender. The youngster found a new home in our back three and his performances helped inspire our best run of form all season during the early months of 2015. next term though, we want him back in the middle.

2) Jordon Ibe – 98.5% want to keep

This really says a lot about the form the youngster has shown so far. He was only able to play a handful of games following his return from a loan spell at Derby County but he clearly did more than enough to convince everyone. An exciting future lays in wait for him we’re sure.

1) Philippe Coutinho – 99.1% want to keep

Who were the 0.9%, that’s what we want to know?! The little magician has been nothing short of sensational over the last twelve months and the prospect of him lining up alongside Roberto Firmino next season is enough to make most Liverpool fans’ mouth’s water.
