Thai Liverpool fans join the ‘Reus to Liverpool’ bandwagon

Anywhere you look on the internet right now, Liverpool fans are begging John W. Henry and FSG to sign Borussia Dortmund superstar Marco Reus with the imminent £49m Raheem Sterling windfall.

And now our Thai branch of supporters have joined in, telling the Liverpool Echo exactly how we should spend the money.

You can watch the Echo video, here.

18-year-old Siriwat said: “I hope we spend the money on Marco Reus.”

“He’s a talented player. He has more talent than Sterling.

“He has a good reputation and international experience. He would fit in well in a red shirt.”

Before 32-year-old Bunbit added:

“Up front, this Liverpool team isn’t so good. We need another striker like Fowler.

“I think it’s okay to transfer Raheem. He’s not a team player. It’s a good deal for Liverpool.

“I hope we sign Marco Reus. He’s very skilful and plays with style.”

The squad is of course on tour in the country right now, and will play their first debut of pre-season this Tuesday versus a Thai All-Star XI in Bangkok.

Our owner’s Twitter must be nearing melting point such is the volume of tweets he’s received from Liverpool fans over the past few days about Marco Reus… We collated a number of the Marco Reus to Liverpool tweets yesterday, after various news outlets reported our £46m interest in his services.

The money is there once we sell Sterling (as our net spend for the summer will be roughly zero when the deal is done), so the club and management should be doing all they can to make it happen.
