Liverpool linked to Juventus wonderkid as summer business seemingly knows no end

We’ve so far captured seven summer signings, and Divock Origi has returned from his loan spell in France, but if wide media reports are to be believed, we’re very much in the running for another.

While the club is currently holding talks with PSG for left-back Lucas Digne (via Daily Mail), we’re also reportedly in discussions for a fellow prodigal Frenchman, Juventus starlet Kingsley Coman

talkSport (cited here in the Mirror), claim that we’re battling Bayern Munich and Arsenal for the 19-year-old’s services.

Juventus want Mario Gotze, and with the Old Lady signing Paulo Dybala and Simone Zaza this window, Coman’s chances of first-team football this term look seemingly restricted.

The teenager is terrifically talented, and the Serie A giants did well to snap him up from PSG, but with our absolute wealth of attacking midfield options – his path to first-team football will actually be even more restricted at Anfield than it will in Turin.

If we can snare him cheaply and then send him somewhere on loan for development, then it could be a potentially exciting deal – but we don’t want to stifle his career by acquiring him and giving him Under-21 football for a season.
