Angelo Fulgini, Man United target, is on trial with Liverpool ahead of summer transfer

Liverpool have reportedly taken Valenciennes defender Angelo Fulgini on trial. The 18-year-old, who has also been linked with Manchester United, is expected to train with us this week to allow our coaches to cast an eye over him.

Fulgini, who is a right-back by trade, played 16 times in the French second division last season. He’s also capable of playing in midfield – primarily in a defensive role – and further forward on the right flank.

According to the Daily Star, he will be offered a permanent deal if he impresses on Merseyside, and he could potentially replace Andre Wisdom – who is linked with a loan move to Norwich City (via the Liverpool Echo).

The French Under-19 international has attracted interest from all over Europe, with the Star stating that AC Milan and Barcelona are also ready to battle it out for the player’s signature. However, Liverpool look to have won the race at this stage and are ready to make the first move by offering him a short-term deal.

Uruguayan duo Juan Manuel Sanabria and Agustin Pereira are also training with Brendan Rodgers’ side this week, as the Star adds, while Brazilian youngster Allan was pictured with the first-team earlier today (via Daily Mail).
