Brazilian midfielder set for £500k Liverpool transfer – Allan snapped at Melwood

Liverpool look to be close to sealing a deal for Brazilian teenager Allan Rodrigues de Souza, who was pictured alongside compatriots Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino during a recent training session at Melwood.

The Reds were first linked with the 18-year-old midfielder at the start of July, with multiple sources – including the Liverpool Echo – suggesting that he impressed our scouts during the Frenz International Cup in the Far East.

According to the Echo, we were expecting to pay around £500,000 to take the player to Anfield and add him to our blossoming academy side, which also includes the likes of fellow new signings Bobby Adekanye and Brooks Lennon.

Allan will likely start off with the Reds’ youth team and will then look to progress as far as possible over the next twelve months. Assuming the deal goes through, if it hasn’t done so already, the youngster will be hoping to inspire us to go one better than last season – when we finished second in the Under-21 equivalent of the top flight.
