Changes to Liverpool’s PL fixture schedule announced

Liverpool will play just twice on a Saturday at 3pm between now and December, after seven more matches on our schedule were changed to accommodate television coverage and Europa League commitments.

Most notable among them is the Merseyside derby at Goodison Park, which will now take place at 1.30pm on Sunday October 4. The match will be broadcast on Sky Sports.

Sky have also claimed our games against Southampton – which is now on Sunday October 25 at 4.15pm – and Manchester City – which has been set for a 5.30pm kick-off on Saturday November 21.

There will also be two Liverpool fixtures shown on BT Sport – the trips to Tottenham Hotspur, which takes place on Saturday October 17 at 12.45pm, and Chelsea, who we face two weeks later with the same kick-off time.

The games against Crystal Palace and Swansea City have both been moved to Sunday due to our European matches. They will now take place on November 8 and November 29, at 4pm and 4.15pm respectively.

Bizarrely, the only two games that remain at normal times are the matches against West Ham at the end of August and against Aston Villa at the end of September.

That’s modern day football for you.
