Sheyi Ojo set for Championship loan deal

Talented teenage winger Sheyi Ojo is set to join Championship outfit Wolves on loan for the upcoming season, reports the Mirror.

The England Under-18 man bagged his first senior goal for Liverpool yesterday in the 2-1 friendly victory over Swindon – but in truth – his first team chances this term would be limited if he’d stayed.

Ojo went on loan to Wigan Athletic last season and did relatively well, although he rarely started games.

We hope that with Wolves in 2015/16 he is a regular, and makes the kind of impact Jordon Ibe did last campaign with Derby.

Ibe shone with the Rams under Steve McClaren, and his performances convinced Brendan Rodgers to bring him back to Anfield and make him a part of the first-team squad. Since, Ibe’s stock has continued to rise, and he could well be in our starting XI for the Premier League opener versus Stoke next weekend.

Ibe’s example is a terrific one for Ojo to try and follow, and if the deal gets done, we wish him all the best for his stint at Molineux.
