The Liverpool players were all smiles as they prepared for the first round of Premier League fixtures, which start for us this coming Sunday away to Stoke City.
Of course, it’s a very new look team that will walk out at the Britannia Stadium in two days time, than it was when Mark Hughes’ side put six past us in mid-May. Steven Gerrard, Raheem Sterling and Rickie Lambert have all departed, while seven new players have come in, all of whom are likely to be in the squad this weekend.

Coutinho raves after seeing Roberto Firmino in Liverpool training
Our two major additions – Christian Benteke and Roberto Firmino – feature heavily in the pictures below, as they continue to get to grips with life alongside their new teammates. James Milner, Danny Ings, Adam Bogdan, Joe Gomez and Nathaniel Clyne also featured, as they look to secure places for the Stoke game.
Benteke, Milner and Clyne are all near certainties to start, while Gomez will also be hoping to edge out Alberto Moreno for his place at left-back. Firmino, Ings and Bogdan will likely be among the substitutes.
