(Video) Lucas’ son celebrates like Daniel Sturridge after scoring in the park

There are few better-known celebrations right now than that of Daniel Sturridge. The Liverpool striker, who has found the net 40 times in just 66 appearances, has made a welcome habit of showing off his ‘ride the wave’ trademark and has no doubt attracted more than his fair share of copycats.

One of those paying tribute to the centre-forward, is the young son of his Liverpool teammate, Lucas Leiva. The Brazilian midfielder posted a video of his boy on his Instagram page, showing him scoring into an empty net before celebrating in style, while the Anfield favourite cheers on in the background.

We’ll be hoping to see Sturridge’s celebration a little more than we did last season, when the England international missed the vast majority of the campaign through injury. As a result, the 25-year-old managed to find the net just five times in all competitions, although he still managed to outscore all of his fellow strikers.

This year, he has Christian Benteke, Danny Ings and Divock Origi for company up front, and the former PFA Player of the Year nominee will have to work hard if he’s to force his way straight back into the Reds’ team. However, our fans will no doubt be pleased just to see him back and playing.

Who knows, perhaps we’ll be seeing Lucas junior wearing a Liverpool shirt sometime in the future as well!
