Liverpool’s Premier League campaign got off to the best start possible on Sunday afternoon, when Brazilian magician Coutinho found the net from 30-yards out to secure a 1-0 win at the Britannia, avenging the 6-1 humiliation at the same venue last term.
The goal was truly special, and will be very hard to beat in August’s ‘Goal of the Month’ competition.
Picking up the ball close to the left wing, Coutinho turned his man, before beelining towards goal and curling a rasping effort past a despairing Jack Butland.

It was reminiscent of his effort against Southampton last season, and we’re delighted our best player has found his shooting boots so early.
His team-mates were similarly chuffed with Liverpool’s no.10, and took to Twitter to laud his winner.
