Mario Balotelli drops huge hint that he’s set for Liverpool exit

Mario Balotelli’s career has often been unnecessarily dogged by his social media antics, and it’s through that medium that the Italian’s suggested his Liverpool nightmare is over.

The 25-year-old forward has deleted all pictures of himself in Liverpool playing or training kit from his Instagram page – barring the sole video of himself training alone.

The Italian forward scored just one goal for Liverpool in the Premier League last season, and has been frozen out by Brendan Rodgers this term, with £32.5m Belgian Christian Benteke arriving in his stead.

A move to AC Milan seems to be the most likely, with a loan deal on the cards and set for imminent completion, the Daily Mail claims.

“There are negotiations with Liverpool for a loan, but we have not reached an agreement on wages,” chief executive Adriano Galiani told Mediaset Premium.

“We want a loan with a portion of the wages paid by us and another portion by Liverpool.

“We want Balo because we are convinced this lad realises that this is absolutely his last chance. I hope he understands that.”

The idea that we’ll still be paying some of Balotelli’s wages even when he’s plying his trade for another club is hard to stomach, but goes some way in describing how much the player’s stint on Merseyside has poisoned his reputation.

Hopefully the move is completed quickly, as it seems a permanent transfer remains impossible. If he does well in Serie A on loan, which he did before when Manchester City packed his bags, we might get more money for him next summer.
