Liverpool announce loan deal for Brazilian midfielder Allan Rodrigues

Liverpool have belatedly completed the signing of Brazilian midfielder Allan Rodrigues de Souza from Internacional, a month on from handing him his Reds debut in the pre-season friendly win over HJK Helsinki.

Allan will now be returning to Finland on loan, having sealed a deal with Seinajoen Jalkapallokerho until January – as our official website confirms.

The 18-year-old, who becomes the fourth Brazilian in our squad, was given permission to spend time with us earlier this summer – effectively on trial – before we agreed to hand him a contract.

During that time he has also featured three times for our Under-21 side – scoring against Birmingham last time out.

The Liverpool Echo told us last month that the deal to bring Allan to Liverpool was likely to be worth around £500,000. They also tell us that he’s an attacking midfielder by trade and, as such, will no doubt be hoping to one day emulate compatriots Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino.

We wish Allan luck during his time in Finland.
