Steven Gerrard might just be regretting some of the claims in his soon to be released book ‘My Story’.
In it, our legendary skipper claimed that ex-boss Rafa Benitez never liked him as a person, but the current Real Madrid manager responded with class – politely claiming the now LA Galaxy midfielder’s wrong, via the Mail.

Last night Gary Lineker, who anchors BT Sport’s Champions League show for which Gerrard sits on the panel, teased him for the debacle.
‘I know he doesn’t like you very much, but is Rafa Benitez the right man for Real Madrid?’ he asked…
‘I’m scared to talk about him incase he thinks I’m trying to sell my book,’ Gerrard awkwardly replied – before – in fairness – saluting the Spaniard’s tactical ability.
We’d like to think Gerrard and Benitez were both good for each other’s careers, and hope there are no mores snipes aims in either direction.
