Brendan Rodgers has given his Friday press-conference ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash with Norwich, and has given Liverpool fans a real boost with injury news on both Daniel Sturridge and Jordan Henderson.
The striker has been out for as long as most Liverpool fans care to remember, recovering from a hip operation, while our captain limped out of the Bournemouth win and has missed our past three fixtures.

However, Rodgers has confirmed that both trained today – and will be assessed before the Canaries fixture.

When they do regain full fitness, the two England internationals will be two of the first names on the team-sheet. Whether it’d be wise or not to bring them back into the side already is another matter of course, especially with Sturridge – whose injury problems are genuinely threatening to ruin his career.
Henderson’s trip to the USA was precautionary though, and we’d welcome our skipper back at the weekend – with teenage duo Jordan Rossiter and Pedro Chirivella playing in the middle in the Europa League last night instead.
Sturridge’s eventual return will boost us tenfold – and a potential strike partnership with Christian Benteke with hopefully solve our goalscoring woes.
