Iago Aspas will go down as one of Liverpool’s worst and most unnecessary signings of the Premier League era, but he’s proving in Spain that he’s not actually a bad footballer.
This term the 28-year-old has scored seven La Liga goals already, two more than Lionel Messi this season actually, and has led Celta Vigo to a comfortable mid table position.
And this wonderful goal proved the winner last night with his side beating Espanyol 1-0.
Aspas signed for Liverpool in 2013, but lasted just the one campaign, and will be forever remembered for his corner against Chelsea when we were chasing a desperate equaliser.
