Portsmouth pick up Reds ‘keeper on loan

South coast club Portsmouth have signed Ryan Fulton on loan, according the the Echo.

19-year-old Fulton, who only signed a new long-term contract with the club last month, has been allowed to join the League Two outfit so he can get some much-needed first team experience.

It is thought that our decision to recall Danny Ward from his loan at Aberdeen contributed to the club’s decision.

Fulton has never played a first team game for us, but has been with Liverpool since the U10s level. He has been on the bench four times so far this season.

He will stay at Portsmouth until the end of the campaign, but given it is a youth loan we can recall him at any time.
