Lazar Markovic is not for sale, and Liverpool will not accept a bid even as large as €25m for the Serbian 21-year-old, confirms Turkish newspaper Sabah.
They cite an unnamed club representative from Fenerbahce, whose quotes roughly translate as: “We tried to buy him at the beginning of the season, but they did not accept. Now, a €25m bid wouldn’t be accepted. They’re very pleased with his performance.”

Sabah also claim that Liverpool have a scout in Istanbul to watch every Markovic match, and that Jurgen Klopp is also keen on bringing Markovic back at the end of the season.
This news is promising, and shows the club still want to work with the expensive summer 2014 signing.
After overcoming injury, Markovic has become one of Fenerbahce’s most important players. He’s cemented a spot on the right wing and is consistently creating chances for team-mates. He’s notched two goals so far, but will hope to add to that before the end of the season.
Markovic is terrifically talented, and we hope he continues his development in Turkey before arriving at Melwood to work under Klopp a more experienced, valuable component.
On the surface, he has many traits our German boss will appreciate. Markovic is quick and technical, but works as hard going backwards as he does running forwards.
