One game, two strikers, two very different reactions.
Our fourth round replay against West Ham won’t live long in the memory; the most significant moment arguably came when Daniel Sturridge stepped off the subs bench and onto the pitch for just the sixth time this season.
The way he was greeted by the travelling Kop tells you all you need to know – we’ve missed him so much, and it’s great to see him back.
Benteke, meanwhile, missed his fourth clear-cut one-on-one in less than two months. It’s getting predictable.
Consider this stat from the season so far: Benteke – 28 games, 7 goals (all competitions), Sturridge – 6 games, 4 goals (all competitions).

Benteke though is absolutely pathetic. Did well to have a lot of chances but he has to take them

@LFC needs to wrap Benteke in white lien and dump him in storage with a sign that says “do not open till next transfer window”

Riddle:If Christian Benteke had a one on one with Simon Mignolet would Benteke score or would Mignolet save??! @TSBible @BBCMOTD @talkSPORT

There are apparently 5 chairmen in Europe that don’t think spending £64.5m on Benteke, Mignolet & Lovren makes you unemployable #LFC

Benteke my mum could’ve scored that 1 on 1

Delicious prospect of Sturridge, Coutinho and Firmino playing up front together soon. And Ings back too. Strong finish to the season 👏#LFC

Sturridge, Coutinho, Firmino and Teixeira won’t be bad at all.

Now Europa league main target. Honestly, play a similar team we played against West Ham (both games) and just stick Firmino/Sturridge up top

@19YNWA how good can a firmino-Sturridge partnership be? So much class
— Matt Cole (@ZMethod214) February 10, 2016
Chiri, Stewart were excellent. Illori very good. Flanno is flanno. And Sturridge is just a different level. Oh well.
