At least that’s according to our vice-captain, James Milner (via Echo).
Victory over Man City on Wednesday night reduced the deficit to six points, and the former City player thinks we can beat his old club to a place in the European elite.
“If we keep playing like that there is no reason why not,” he said.
“We have a lot of games to go and a couple of big European games (against Manchester United). Hopefully we can get through that so we have a lot still to play for this season.
“We are disappointed the League Cup chance is gone, but hopefully that will drive us on and give the boys hunger. We were that close and we all want to win silverware, but it is important to finish the season strongly and take that momentum into next season.”

A cursory look at the remaining fixtures reveals that he could be right.
Six of our last 11 games are at home, with the five away games against Palace, Southampton, Bournemouth, Swansea, and West Brom all eminently winnable. How many times have we said that this season though?!
Our three hardest games are Chelsea, Everton, and Spurs – all at Anfield.
City only have five home games and still have to travel to Chelsea. They also still have to play Arsenal and Utd at the Etihad.
