Mario Balotelli booed by Milan fans after shocking performances

We might have reasonably hoped that we’d be able to flog Mario Balotelli back to AC Milan on a permanent move this summer, but the possibility is looking increasingly remote after their fans booed him at the weekend.

The incident happened during Milan’s 1-1 draw with Lazio in the Serie A on Sunday night (via Echo).

Balotelli was brought on to replace Luiz Adriano as a second half sub with 16 minutes remaining, but was heckled by Milan fans upon entering the pitch.

It has been a miserable season for Balotelli. He’s been injured for long periods and had a groin operation in November, he’s started just three games, and has only managed one Serie A goal all season.

According to the Echo, Klopp does not want him at Anfield and we are desperate to sell him before we convene for pre-season training in July.

Milan president Silvio Berlusconi has told Balotelli he could have a future in Italy, but he needs to drastically improve his performances.
